Great FinTech breakfast hosted by global law firm Dentons, at One Fleet Place this morning. CSFI panel included experts in the financial and tech world to discuss where we are with Crypto-currency; particularly relevant due to the record year 2017 brought for UK tech investment with London-based firms attracting the lion’s share of funding.
A high-level panel led by Kadhim Shubber of FT Alphaville, Tim Jones, the co-founder of Tibado, a former CEP of NEST and of Natwest’s retail bank, and an independent director of ITG inc. Alongside them Naeem Aslam, a columnist for Forbes and chief marker anaylst for online broker ThinkMarkets – which has recently added a number of crypto-currencies to its trading suit.
The round table presented an opportunity to discuss how the the ‘Meltdown’ and Spectre’ vulnerabilities have users of cloud services concerned and what it means for the progression and rise of bitcoin and crypto currencies for big banks and the integration of GDPR for 2018.
Morgan Rossiter sponsors CSFI events and was very happy to support such a lively and informed debate.
